Explosion protection document

Anyone who operates systems in potentially explosive areas must create an explosion protection document. This should systematically evaluate the risk of explosion and document the concept of protective measures. 

The explosion protection document is part of the risk assessment.In the area of heat treatment, these are filling systems, storage systems for flammable gases and liquids. (Methanol tank and conveyor systems as well as ammonia supply systems)

An analysis of the system, a structured test plan, measures to protect against explosions, statements and evidence for training the staff. In addition, Ex zones may have to be defined and protective measures taken against all ignition sources, not just electrical ones. 

The explosion protection document must also contain the inspection periods for systems and the protective measures that result from the requirements of both ordinances (BetrSichV and GefStoffV).
