Carbon potential monitoring

Automatic monitoring of gas carburizing systems via gas analysis systems.

According to the CQI-9 4th edition, the furnace atmosphere must be checked at regular intervals. This can be done using shim shock test, a second oxygen probe or gas analysis systems. The advantage of gas analysis is that, like the oxygen probe, it is a continuously measuring system. The direct measurement of the CO, CO2, CH4 and possibly H2 content enables direct conclusions to be drawn about the C level and errors that are caused by defective radiant heating tubes, for example, can be discovered more quickly. The gas analyzer can also be calibrated automatically by flushing the system with test gas at regular intervals and, if necessary, calibrating it.

The system presented here works with two gas analyzers and four furnace systems. Normally, one gas analyzer works with two furnace - but should an O2 probe fail on one furnace, the analyzer can be switched to the system as a main CP and the batch can be completed without any damage. The second analyzer then works with three systems in time. Each analyzer can operate up to four systems in time. We also offer mobile gas analyzers.

Of course, we also offer atmosphere controls with our mobile gas analyzer!
